Bloganuary Writing Prompt:
What’s your favorite meal to cook and/or eat?

Funny thing about my family line. We love food. All kinds. The worse for you, the more we love it.

I don’t cook will answer one of those questions (although I have been doing it a wee bit more because everything is more expensive and if I want to pay off Uncle Sam I need to spend money differently).

The other one, my favorite meal to eat…. My mom’s (and my brother’s because it’s pretty good too) chicken strips, mashed potatoes and gravy, macaroni and cheese, and broccoli and cheese rice.

Does it sound like Thanksgiving? I promise it’s not.

We used to have some form of that dish growing up quite often. And if it wasn’t often, it was often enough that I actually have a favorite meal.

I mean, but I also like pizza, but that’s not so much a meal as it is an experience. And hopefully always a good one. But if not, then I will never experience that form of pizza again.

So anyway… that answers that question.

Although as an afterthought… I do like making my mom’s chicken strips too and will have one or two of those sides with it when I do make it. It’s been years since I’ve done it, but I still have the recipe and will make it again someday I’m sure.
