Bloganuary Writing Prompt:
What is something you learned recently?

Well, I learned that apparently I can get over the 21-day “honeymoon phase” of a habit and keep it going for 29 days so there’s that.

I also learned to crochet this past month.

I learned that latch hook takes A LOT longer than I remember.

I learned that my body changes as I get older but my mind likes to think I’m still about 25.

Overall the biggest thing I’ve learned recently though is that it’s amazing to have friends that really have your back and are looking out for you.

One of the best known things about me: I like to talk. But sometimes when I feel like I’m actually getting past the surface level stuff and really starting to get vulnerable, that’s usually when the other party swoops in with a story and turns the conversation away.

So I have a tendency to be less vulnerable with people. But I’ve found a few good friends who allow me to get vulnerable… and even fewer of those friends that nearly demand it because they know I’m dodging vulnerability (thanks for that, btw).

So on top of having amazing friends, I’m relearning how to be vulnerable and open up about how I’m really feeling or what’s really going on.
