To-Do List Fails

Writing prompt:
Something on your to-do list that never gets done?

Overall I don’t have a lot of things on a to-do list since I try to limit my list to things I know I can accomplish today. Otherwise I just get overwhelmed and depressed.

I have a list of things I do regularly of course, but that’s not really a “to-do” list so much as it is things I do.
— brush my teeth
— clean my laundry
— keep my room organized enough that I can get from the door to the bed

^that last one is a lot easier to do now that I’ve rearranged my room and my bed is right by the door. 😉

Notice I said “clean my laundry” and not “put my laundry away.” That is definitely an actual “to-do” list item.

Keeping my room clean and presentable is probably the hardest thing I can do that would be on my to-do list. And that’s because I’m hardly ever home to keep it clean.

I’m hoping that being home more once we hit April will help. And I realize I’m putting a lot of stock in getting things done in April, but I’m also not being wishful in my thinking. My days will definitely be full, but I will be home every night and that is the difference between pet-sitting and going home every night.

But to say there’s something on my list that “never” gets done… that’s really stretching it. Everything on my list has been done at least once.
