For the first time since I began participating in NaNoWriMo (National Novel Writing Month, which is normally in November), I decided to officially participate in the spring version, which is called Camp NaNo.
Unlike official NaNo, you don’t HAVE to write 50,000 words in a month. You can simply use it to just get that poem finished that you’ve been thinking about for a hundred years but your OCD won’t allow you to do it in a day.
As an example.
However, I’m going to use Camp NaNo as NaNoWriMo 2.0 since I realized the absolute biggest issue I have with the story I wrote last November is that I don’t have a target audience and although I’m nowhere near getting the story published, if I don’t have a person in mind that I’m writing to, then the story will eventually flounder.
That’s what’s happened to most of my unfinished stories to be completely honest.
So I figured out how to make it more toward the audience I prefer to write to and will be starting that at midnight.
Ope, look at that. It’s 11:45pm. Lolz. Probably should let the site know that’s what I’ll be doing so I can keep track of my progress too.
Realistically, this post was just to let you know that I will most likely be using this blog to help get my creative juices flowing much like I did in January when I still had the habit of writing.
It might just be a story from my life, but it’ll be something. And that’s all one can ask for.
