Here in the US, we are having not only a “blue moon” (a full moon that has happened twice in the same calendar month), but it also happens to be a super moon. Which basically means it wears tights and a cape and saves people when no one is watching it. “Moony” never wants to take the credit… always says it’s Batman doing the saving. 😛
On top of that, I slept in my bed for the first time in a week last night, only had one client today, AND made it to my chiropractor appointment a whole hour early.
Also, my roommate and I went to the aquarium at the zoo.
She works at a civil engineering company, and they had a small part to play in completing this newly built aquarium. So everyone from her job was invited and they could invite their families if they wanted. So she invited me since I’m like… “family adjacent.”
I joked with her that we’ve been living in the same house for almost 9 years, get a fancy card from the zoo every month for a free admission, and it took her company partaking in the construction of part of it for us to actually go.
And since we were technically only there for the aquarium, we didn’t see much else.

The above sea turtle was hit by a boat and it damaged her buoyancy ability, so she was unable to be released back into the wild. The aquarium and zoo are working hard to make sure she can eventually live a semi-normal existence in the aquarium, but sadly, she’ll probably never be able to be released back into the wild.
We were there after 5pm, so I didn’t expect a lot of the animals to really be out and about, but I was surprised at how many of them were! Tortellini seemed the readiest to not be gawked at, but she was probably just tired from trying to swim normally and being unable to do so. At least she is willing to be looked at by vets and they’re doing what they can to help her.

I didn’t have a whole lot to say tonight, I just thought it was fun to mention that my roommate and I went to the zoo on the same day as a “blue super moon” when we’ve been living together as long as we have.
