My Perfect Birthday Cake

A text I kept from my brother on my birthday a few years ago.

Bloganuary Writing Prompt:
Describe your perfect birthday cake.

Well, we might want to start with the fact that I like my birthday cake to be baked. Moist, fluffy and yummy. I prefer yellow cake for some reason on my birthday. With funfetti frosting, preferably.

My birthday is in May, by the way. So don’t go making a birthday cake for me just yet. 😛

Since that didn’t take long…
Let’s talk about my life a bit.

This week has been the longest I’ve had in January in a long time. My mom even asked me the other day, “Why are we so busy? I thought you said we would have some downtime this month!”

Obviously we’re not really complaining, but neither of us are getting any younger and all this working is not great on our bodies… even if it is good for our bank accounts.

Want an idea of how I feel based on what I’m doing/wearing/listening to right now?
Cool. Here goes:

I’m sitting on my bed in my Kigurumi (basically a cat onesie) listening to Lo-Fi music (coffee shop vibes) with sound-canceling headphones while drinking Dutch Bros coffee (the only good coffee shop for the evening cup).

The only reason I decided to write… okay let’s not lie there’s definitely two reasons.
One is to keep the streak up because I’m THIS CLOSE to the end of Bloganuary,
Two is because I’m at least keeping the habit of writing going and I know my friend Rachel will be very excited to hear that. 😉

Once Bloganuary ends I don’t know if I’ll continue blogging everyday because I know I have enough email followers that they probably don’t really appreciate an everyday email from me as well as from whoever else they get emails from in a day. But I will for sure keep writing. You just may not see the fruits for some time. 😉

On a side note, I am LOVING this Lo-Fi music…

It won’t be THAT long before they see the fruits of your other-writing, if I have any say in the matter.

Listen, I’m the only one around here who puts THAT tight of deadlines on her writing… *laughs*

  2. What if Lo-Fi music and where do I find it?

    1. Lo-Fi is “low fidelity” music. It’s a type of sound that people came to appreciate in music close to 30 years ago. So it has its own genre. You can find Lo-Fi music anywhere you listen to music. I just searched Lo-Fi in Apple Music and found a playlist.
